Every woman is always a princess for her father. We get all respect, love in other relations, but no other relation can give us the feeling of princess….. But I was wrong…Dove and Indiblogger has given us a royal treatment which is just unforgettable. I am here with lot of memories of this grand Only ladies meet.
This was my second meet at JW MARRIOTT, MUMBAI. I was so excited. Our dress code was “Any thing but White” I was confused with what to wear – white top with jeans or traditional salwar kurti. I was not satisfied with my white kurti, so purchased a new one. However finally I wore the white salwar with blue embroidery. When I entered the venue, all blogger girls and ladies were looking stunning with white outfits!
I joined my friend Vasudha, Vinita and Anu. After registration we have given band, badge and map showing where we have to go to attend various activities. My band was of green color and my team code was four. Before the program start, we were offered high tea. I could stop myself by taking a snap of delicious cupcakes, mouthwatering pastries. However, I preferred to taste the yummy pani puri.
When the program started, Anup was too good as usual. He handed over the charge to Dove host. And the fun started. We formed our groups quickly, mine was group number four and it is indicated on our bands given to us. Since we were ten in one team, we formed 2 circles of 5 each. I was in outer circle. We performed various moves by moving clockwise and anticlockwise with the music played. Each time we will be standing in front of new group member and we started off getting to know each other. What I loved most was the Zumba! Since I recently joined Aerobics, I was enjoying each and every move from bottom of my heart.
Then we headed towards the Puzzle Mania. We were in Ballroom to play with the ball, where 3 team mates picked the dove balls and two team mates have to catch it from the given distance. We did excellent job by catching 285 dove balls in ten minutes, but missed the prize! Then second activity was of solving the jigsaw puzzle. We enjoyed our third challenge of hair styling. We have to experiment with our partner’s hair, Dove helped to take care of all kind of hair, curly, wavy, straight….
And then we entered the Dove Salon which was the most awaiting moment for us. Dove hair experts were just there, to do any hairstyle we ask. My hairs are wavy, so I decided to straighten my hair. And it was awesome…..I immediately changed my fb and whatsapp dp with my new look. You will not believe it, but I received lot comments saying it is too good. Everyone is asking the reason of my makeover. I have no words to thank Dove and Indiblogger for giving me a celebrity look.
Dove also handed over a mind blowing Goodies including Philips hair straightener, Dove Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I loved the cutest Dove hair pin.
We had dinner after the bartender activity at pool side. By the time dance floor was set for us. But now, I was worried about how I will reach home. But to my surprise, Indiblogger had arranged a cab for us who were staying far away from the location. I am so thankful to Dove and Indiblogger that they have taken so much care of us. We were dropped at door steps very carefully. I have never ever felt so secured when I attend any late events. I was feeling like a princess.

What you do to relax yourself after the hectic day?
I got lot of different answers for this. Some may like to listen to music, some may like to read or some even chooses to go for a long drive. But to my surprise, 90% people answers – ‘Having a hot bath’. It is true that there is no other thing than hot water bath that refreshes you. Even Ayurveda suggests hot water bath for relaxation.
Most prefer to have bath in the evening as they want to get rid of odor of sweating. According to skin experts sweating is good for skin health. However, many of my friends argue me that hot water bath is wastage of water as well as electricity. I believe in reduce, reuse and recycle. I have a great solution for this. It’s a start of April and my son asked me “Mummy, when we are going to native?” He has already started planning for his vacation. I just smiled and said “No dear, not in this month. May be we can plan for June first week?”To my surprise, he was happy. He said “Mom, it will be fun. You remember that “Mango carpet “in the garden. I want to enjoy it. It will be fun if we will go late this year.”
Really kids remember the things they experience ,than what they hear or learn in school. This reminded me the first time when I taken him to native place. Our native is in Raigad district. Our relatives have planted lot of mango trees in his farm. It was around last week of May. The day before we reach our native, there was mild rain shower. The surrounding near our relatives house was filled with mangoes that dropped due to rain. Being a metropolitan resident, we are habituated to see Mangoes in small basket or boxes in the market. For our urban minds mango is very precious. May be he was observing it when we cut it carefully or share it. And, in our native those precious mangoes were sprinkled like flowers. My son was surprised and at the same he was enjoying. We were glad to see his happy face. He started running around the house round,round and round. First he collected as many mangoes as he can collect in his tiny hand. Then he realized, he need basket to collect them. He ran inside the house, taken a basket and started collecting the mangoes. After some time he started asking my uncle, how you have created this “mango carpet” (this was his word for all those plenty mangoes fallen in garden due to rain.) He asked how all mangoes fell at a time, why you are all not collecting it, what will happen to those mangoes if we do not pick them up and …… My uncle was answering him with a smiling face.
So…his excited face reminded me the old incidence. As my uncle has answered all his curious questions, now he knows more than me regarding various things related to farming and gardening. He can recognize different trees like Asoka, banyan, neem, guava, jackfruit etc. He even has idea which mangoes are good for pickle and what is the right time to make it. He loves mango murabba , that I make at home. Actually I mix grated raw mango, sugar and keep it in the hot sun. It takes around 8-10 days, to make such murabba. I take a big vessel for it and wrap a soft cotton cloth on the top of it. Every day I open that cloth and mix the mixture and again tie that cloth. He enjoys all the process in those 8-10 days.
My son has a special bond with mother nature. And I take care that his love will grow day by day.I also take care that he spread this love with his friends too. He is true #NaturesFriends
Today I landed on one wonderful #DovePlay video. I watched it once and loved the music. I played it for second time and song reminded me of my college days. I watched the video again and again. Those hair rollers, wet hairs, swinging hairs…. It is a perfect video of journey of my hair softness.
During my college days, I always dreamed that my hair would bounce like they show in TV ads. And to get fine curve, I tried so many things in those days. Hair roller was one of the things I tried and I still have those black rollers. As I used those rollers, I found that I am facing the new problem of hair fall as well as hair break.
Then I consulted dermatologist, and she suggested me to stop using hair rollers. She also suggested me to use the product which suits my scalp skin best. I wanted to buy hair drier and thought of visiting Raghuleela Mall. Guess what, when I was checking my indiblogger account, I found an interesting IndiVine. The IndiVine was regarding Reliance Digital store. We were also assured that, there will be some surprise waiting for us , when we will visit the store. First thing I did was, just checked the places where we can visit. It was Mulund, Ghatkopar, Malad… I was disappointed as none was in New Bombay area. However, you can find it other Reliance Digital Stores here.
Without losing hopes, I checked the whole list of stores. Ohh…. Andheri. This is possible as my office is in Andheri. And to my surprise it was in the same building where my office is situated. I registered for it and went to that showroom the very next day with my colleagues.
The showroom was quiet spacious. There were TV, laptops, mobiles and other computer peripherals at the ground floor. Since I wanted to buy hair drier, I visited Reliance digital first floor section. All the items were very well displayed. The eye catching was refrigerator section. Even lots of washing machines were on display. I found my option in grooming section. I liked the purple colored Panasonic hair drier. However, I did not buy it as it was along with lot of accessories. So I selected the simple one, it was Panasonic itself.
Ohh.. About the surprise? Since no one was aware about the goodiebag, one of the sales girl assured me to call back. She took my mobile number. She even called their main office and again assured me if get back to me. After all what we need is a good approach from the staff. They were very cooperative.

This is all about my first indiblogger meet. The topic was so tempting- Anything under the sun! Yes.. all about our skin protection in summer. I was so excited to attend this meet at JW Marriott, Mumbai. This meet was arranged by Neutrogena , wonderful brand that helps to make skin healthy.
When I reached the venue, I just forgot that I am new here as lots of smiling face welcomed me. I met Varsha, Corinne, Zeenat , Anu and Aparna. We all entered the huge hall where we were asked to register. I do not how, but my name was rejected. I was shocked, since I was attending it for first time. However the indi-team helped me and it was successful.
The theme was ‘Anything under the sun! And yes I could feel it with yellow umbrellas, yellow balls and various yellow shades everywhere. Then team member gave a cute yellow cocktail umbrella and asked to write our name (which was the part of fun task we enjoyed later) Here, how my friend tested the Fine fairness deep whitening mask. Then we had lot of fun with various fun tasks like creating a group, naming ceremony of group, making anthem for group and defending the Balls with Umbrellas. I also enjoyed new dance form – Harlem Shake. But …Sorry, unable to upload video right now! Here is the funny moment …. 
After high tea, actress and blogger Tara Sharma arrived with yellow dress. She shared her experience how she feels as a actor, mother, TV host and a blogger.

Braids! Everyone was staring at my braids and I was feeling as if I am going to school again. You must be thinking – Oh! Late 80’s story again! Come on! It happened with me recently and you can also experience the same feeling with your beautiful braids with Beautiful ends.
Here is my short story of my beautiful braids! During my childhood I never cared about my hair. My mother took all the efforts of applying oil, massaging and giving them bath at proper interval. I use to wear two simple braids in school days, totally unaware about any style. My mother use to tie a ribbon at the end of braids and then tie it at the upper end of the braid. This was the style of hair those days. I mean, even school has rules regarding it. In my school, we were supposed to wear a red ribbon.
Then I entered the college with single braid and with my own style of caring my hair. I used to take care of my hair and never listen to mummy. I was having different braid style those days. I used to start my braid at shoulder level and not from the scalp & tie a rubber band leaving around 2 inch hair free at the end. I still remember that I use to roll the hair so that I can hide my split hair. I always use to wonder, why I am having hair fall and spilt hair. And I even found my mother smiling with no suggestions. May be she knew it, that one day I am going to realize all that care she has taken for my hair.
When I realized my hair problem, I started using herbs for my hair. I use to mix Brahmi, Kachur Sugandhi, Maaka, Jaswand (Hhibiscus) and Amala ( all in powder form). To make paste, I use to add Aloe Vera jel or Jaswand Jel or sometimes water. All these powders were available in Herb shops. Then I used to leave this mixture for one hour on scalp. Meanwhile I could complete my dinner prep, pressing clothes or any other house work. Since we cannot see the results immediately, I kept on following the process for years. As per my mother in law’s observation, I had never taken care of my skin. I never used cosmetics or even face powder. However, I had spent lot of time and money for my hair.
And then I met an Angel- my friend – Shilpa. She suggested me this magic of “Dove split end Rescue system ”!
